Christmas Magic at Stockwood

Christmas Magic at Stockwood

The 15th December saw the Academy celebrate Christmas with a fantastic evening of Enterprise, and Performing Arts.

The evening began with groups of our Young Enterprise students selling their Christmas wares to the public in our very first Christmas Festival, and many people commented on the quality of the items that had been made. Miss Hobbs was particularly lucky to pull a wonderful Christmas decoration from the tombola which I’m sure will adorn her home during this festive period.

At 7pm, with a packed audience, we were delighted to watch a variety of Dance, Drama and Music items all performed with excellence and most importantly with a sense of Christmas cheer.

Parents, Staff and students alike all commented on how much they had enjoyed the show, and how they now felt ready for the Christmas holidays!

"I would personally like to thank all the students who took part in the show, and thank their parents/carers for their support with rehearsals," says Mrs Pearson, Assistant Principal for Performing Arts. "Finally a massive thanks goes out to the staff of the Performing Arts Faculty, without whom a show like could not be possible."
